How do I maintain Ready Seal® stained furniture?
We use Ready Seal® Natural cedar stain. Here is the Ready Seal® FAQ.
Here’s how I maintain my personal furniture: I leave my chairs outside year around. Some pieces that I cover or store indoors get re-stained every couple years. I wash the chairs once a year, usually at the start of the season. I use dish soap and a rag, and a soft bristle brush (steal the handle brush from the kitchen sink). Hose pressure only, not power wash. Let dry, at least overnight. I then use a 3-4" foam brush and a rag to apply Ready Seal® natural cedar stain. I let this stain soak in for 15-30 minutes, and then I wipe off whatever hasn’t soaked in. Ready to sit in within a couple hours.
What will happen if I don’t put any finish on my chair?
Over time your chair will change to a silver/gray color.
